Today is Remembrance day.

Please take the time to reflect on those who gave their lives for us.

It is really a pittance of time ...

  1. Bob,

MsBubba is still in the UK here is a copy of the text she sent this morning from the train station in Manchester:

    "Powerful moment for 11/11
    Trumpet playing
Poeple standing still for rememberance day
    And i am crying"

There are still civilized parts of the world.

  3. Bob,

Different but the same. Every time I get within a mile of the "Wall" I start bawling like a baby and can't stop. Such a waste of over 50 thousand American lives and no telling how many SE Asian ones.

P.S. The last time I was in UK was Poppy Day. I brought a few home.

Understood all too well. It still get me everytime. Lost too many bros. I never knew them all, too many, but I DO remember the sacrifices.

My former Commander in Chief, Queen Elizabeth II is the only head of state that was serving during WWII. She was a field ambulance driver and mechanic.

A few of my childhood friends went south to enrolled in the US Army and Marines during the Vietnam war. Those that came back, were never the same :-(

War is hell, which is why old warriors never want to speak about nor like war.
But we would do it all over again if we had too.
